Consultant / Project Lead
|Operations||Consultant / Project Lead||Full Employment||London, UK|
Trillium Technologies is looking for an experienced business consultant and project lead to help on a number of ambitious technology projects starting immediately and lasting for at least the next 12 months and hopefully beyond.
The specific projects are all in early stages and will require someone with an entrepreneurial streak and a willingness to pivot and grow with the role. We are looking for a talented team player willing to help build our business and help unlock longer term opportunities in space, ocean exploration and tackling climate change.
We‘d like someone to join our small team on a full-time basis as soon as possible. You will be based at our offices in Vauxhall, London and work closely with our team of designers, consultants and engineers on both client work and homegrown technology programs. Current engagements include, NASA, the SETI Institute, launch.org, BT and our own ‘Octotalk’ technology.
The role will require extensive international travel - potentially for a number of weeks at a time - and will require both strong client management, analysis and content development skills. Moreover, you should exhibit comfort and capability in problem solving and talent management across multiple subject domains; exemplary planning and written skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders. Lastly you should believe in the importance of collaborative approaches and understand how to get the best out of multidisciplinary teams.
What are the projects you’ll be working on?
NASA FDL: (Frontier Development Lab.)
FDL is held in Silicon Valley every summer in partnership with NASA and number of private sector partners, including the team at SETI. You will be using both your project lead and content creation capabilities to help the FDL team coach, drive, deploy and evolve this amazing program and give our NASA stakeholders, private sector partners and contributors a bump-free ride.
Climate mitigation data and analysis project.
The Trillium team is engaged to develop a cutting edge methodology for managing climate change impact. You will be a key player in this project, supporting as a key consultant in a client facing role, working with subject experts in both data and analysis helping develop new methodologies and models. This project will require international travel to the US and Australia.
Business planning and roll out an Octotalk ‘Mission’.
Octotalk is a revolutionary new technology for communication underwater and part of a vision of tools and systems for better stewardship of our oceans. This technology is still in development, however we are actively looking for ‘mission partners’ to partner with whom can help us gain experience in real-world usage scenarios and fund the next phase of development.
- Trillium is a UK/US focused business. Knowledge and experience of American working practices, work ethic and a willingness to adjust to US timezones on occasion (within reason) is highly desirable.
- Trillium is a small company with big dreams and you will need to be self-starting, self directed, highly competent, consistent and confident dealing with our varied project partners whom are invariably in very senior roles.
- An enthusiasm for space, tackling climate change and ocean exploration is beneficial, however not an immediate requirement. However you should have a clear idea of the positive impact you want to make in the world and why working with a small team like ours would be better for you than a bigger player.
